Chicken Lollipop

Chicken lollipop is well known appetizer. Chicken wings are the key requirement for the recipe. One hast to give the chicken wings a lollipop shape, then coat with a batter and deep fry in oil. This is the latest dish I tried at home and as the result came out great thought to share the recipe in my blog. Ingredients for 10 pieces :

  1. Raw Chicken Wings – 5 pieces
  2. Ginger & Garlic paste – 1 tbspoon
  3. Lemon juice – 1 tbspoon
  4. Black pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
  5. Soya Sauce – ½ tbspoon
  6. Egg – 1
  7. Flour – 2 tbspoon
  8. Cornflour – 2 tbspoon
  9. Red Chilli powder – ½ tbspoon
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil for deep frying
  12. Aluminium foil to garnish

Procedure :

  1. At first cut the chicken wings into lollipop shapes. One can get 2 lollipops from a single wing. To know how to get this lollipop shape watch this video https://youtu.be/w2QZhgdl2xw
  2. Now marinate the raw chicken lollipops with salt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, soya sauce and half of the black pepper powder for at least 20 mins.
  3. Meanwhile beat the egg in a bowl. Add flour, cornflour, little bit of salt, red chili powder and remaining black pepper powder to the egg. Then add little water and mix all the ingredients to get a thick, lump free batter.
  4. Then heat sufficient amount of oil in a frying pan, so that you can deep fry the chicken. Dip the marinated lollipops into the batter, coat them nicely and then deep fry into hot oil until they become golden brown.
  5. Transfer fried lollipops on paper towel. For garnishing wrap the bone sticks of the lollipops with aluminium foil.
  6. Now serve hot with salad.
